Maldives, in the realm of the thousand islands
Close to 1200 islands grouped into 25 atolls (Including some of the largest in the world) stain in blue and white 90000 km2 covered by the Maldives Archipelago: there are only 298 km2 of land in such a large turquoise area. In Maldives grows more than 70 species of corals, which are home to a huge variety of fish and invertebrates, from tiny sea slugs, to the world’s largest fish: the whale shark which, together with the giant manta ray, attract thousand of divers in search of anything more than the beautiful beaches we have seen in many TV ads
