Jeju Island
The coasts of the South Korean island of Jeju are a surprising place: beneath the waters of changing temperatures, we find a landscape dominated by Kelp; lush algae forests typical of cold-water environments. Normally ends here, because a closer look reveals an unusual ecosystem in which tropical water species coexist with other typical of cold seas. Thus, it is possible to see a John Dory with a lionfish, while butterfly and angel fish swim between large algae and colorful soft corals typical of the South Pacific. A curious mixture that seems to be continued out of the water, as Jeju is a tourism-oriented island where tradition and modernity are blended naturally
